In this busy role you will utilize your considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures to provide administrative support for the Operations division. Tasks include preparing written correspondence and reports; creating and maintaining a variety of records, forms, tables, spreadsheets and manuals; scheduling services; as well as processing various departmental documents. A significant part of your role is providing precise information & resolutions to resident inquiries. As part of a team of 10 clerks, you will also support over 200 staff. Your attention to detail will assist you in producing accurate records & providing correct information as you prepare invoices, process safety documentation, and complete data entry functions to support departmental programs.
Your excellent customer service and communication skills, along with knowledge of the applicable rules, regulations, policies and practices which govern departmental activities will guide you when responding and providing support to public and staff inquiries. Your ability to work independently, multi-task and take initiative will guide your success in this position.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Grade 12 plus post-secondary courses in bookkeeping and computer software courses (word processing and spreadsheet applications).
A minimum of two (2) years clerical and customer service experience using related computerized programs.
Valid BC Driver’s Licence
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $26.19 to $30.81 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation, statutory holiday and health benefits.
