The role will be based in Oslo and report to the Chief Sustainability Officer.
Expectations of our stakeholders are increasing rapidly, and positioning Wallenius Wilhelmsen as a leader requires the management and reporting of relevant, accurate, and transparent sustainability information to regulators, investors, employees, customers and partners.
As an essential member of our Corporate Sustainability team, you will work across the organization to implement and communicate our sustainability strategy and performance. This role will support the Chief Sustainability Officer and team by successfully leading sustainability projects, contributing to our engagements with ESG raters and rankers like CDP and Sustainalytics, and engaging our internal and external stakeholders on a wide variety of sustainability initiatives and topics.

- Support global sustainability projects with project management skills
- Lead the administration, continuous improvement of Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s sustainability data reporting system and dashboard
- Support integration of ESG topics into company policies, ways of working and internal controls
- Help implement the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and related reporting standards
- Be a key contributor to our annual sustainability report
- Collaborate across departments and functions to support completion of ESG surveys and questionnaires, for example CDP’s annual Climate Survey, etc.
- Support sustainability reporting initiatives, including financial sustainability
- Develop sustainability awareness, skills, and culture in the organization
- Assist the team and Chief Sustainability Officer as needed
- Familiar with sustainability topics in the shipping and logistics sectors
- Strong project management skills
- Fast learner with regards to systems and tools
- Project Management certification a strong advantage
- Excellent Powerpoint and data visualization skills
Required experience & qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience
- Competence within the sustainability field, and preferably knowledge of EU sustainability reporting regulations
- Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent analytical capabilities
- Strong communication skills in English
- Strategic acumen
- Good at cooperating across disciplines and functions
