Brenntag UK & Ireland (part of the global Brenntag Group) is the market leader in speciality, bulk and packaged chemical distribution.
We are now looking for a new Technical Sales Manager to join our talented team in Ireland to focus on developing profitable sales across a specified portfolio of products and industries.
You will be selling water treatment chemicals into water treatment plants and dealing with customers across a diverse range of markets including Municipal & Industrial Water Treatment, Food and Pharmaceuticals.

Field based and reporting to the Ireland Sales Manager – we’ll be looking for you to build on our success to date on the Island of Ireland.
In addition to new business and new customers, this role will also support our sales teams across all market sectors in developing water treatment sales through our existing customer base, where we may not be selling water treatment products presently.
Specifically, this will include:
- Developing new customer relationships, with a view to meeting and exceeding challenging performance objectives, including budgeted sales and margin targets
- Delivering profitable volume sales and excellent levels of customer service - ensuring we maximise the potential of a quality product portfolio and an impressive customer base
- Effectively managing the business pipeline for the region, whilst continually seeking out new customers and new application by targeting prospects with medium or high potential
- Providing timely reports on activity undertaken including plans, visits and reviews, along with performance and achievements.
As a seasoned Sales Professional, you should have: -
- A relevant business development background plus the drive and tenacity to succeed.
- Ideally a proven track record in selling Water Treatment products (Flocculants, Coagulants, pH correction, Odour Control, Foam control, Activated Carbons).
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Knowledge and experience of chemical make-up systems, chemical dosing equipment plus liquid/solid separation equipment (centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses, thickeners) and be entirely comfortable operating in a waste type environment.
- You’ll also need to demonstrate an independent outlook and plenty of pro-activity and initiative, coupled with a willingness to undertake considerable travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications:

- Previous sales experience is essential, this can be from any industry.
- Ideally a proven track record in selling Water Treatment products (Flocculants, Coagulants, pH correction, Odour Control, Foam control, Activated Carbons).
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
