Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our team. The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging chemistry lessons to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting student achievement and interest in the field of chemistry. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in their studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans in accordance with the Nigerian senior secondary school curriculum, focusing on chemistry.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons, employing a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
- Provide clear explanations and demonstrations of chemical concepts, principles, and laboratory procedures, ensuring students grasp the fundamental concepts.
- Utilize appropriate teaching aids, laboratory equipment, and technology to enhance the learning experience and facilitate practical experiments and demonstrations.
Qualifications:
* A B.Sc/B.Ed degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a a related field (other educational qualifications like: HND; can also apply)
* Proven experience teaching chemistry at the senior secondary level.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
